North Elementary students of the month received a slush from Sonic for their efforts in showing tradition, pride, and excellence. Students selected for February are: Carter P, Brock P, Josie P, Shyanne B, Lucas M, Jack M, Emily G, Piper D, Breanna C, Germani R, Joey D, Ryli-Mae R, Cohen K, Chase W, Rex K, Kennedy T, and Bell F. Congratulations, Wildcats!


This week, North and South Elementary schools will participate in "Read Across America Week." Students are welcome to join us in celebrating!


North Elementary had 6 students who have 100% attendance for the year! These students were recognized and rewarded with a pizza party! They are: Remington V, Lainey B, Jayden B, Wade R, Lucas M, and Landyn C. We will be implementing some new rewards for students whose attendance improves in 3rd and 4th quarters.



North Elementary hosted a Title Reading Night on February 23. Families were invited in for a free hot dog dinner, play games, make s'mores snacks and crafts, and learn about the benefits of reading aloud to their children. Students won new books to read!







The 5th grade class at North made zoo animals built by boxes. Students designed and created the animal, then found the volume of the boxes used to create it. They call this a "volume zoo." Very creative! All of our students enjoy seeing these in the hallways!

North Elementary is hosting a parent night Thursday evening, February 23, from 5:00-6:30pm. A free hot dog dinner will be served from 5:00-6:00pm. Come and enjoy a craft, view student work, and take home free books! We hope to see you there!


North 5th grade, with the assistance of Title teacher Laura Smith, did a variety of higher level thinking STEM activities with items from a mystery bag (m&ms)!
Estimation, taste testing to create a bar graph, and seeing which parts of an M&M are water soluble were just a few activities that students enjoyed.

North 3rd grade already had their field trip planned before the Superbowl. They got to tour Arrowhead Stadium today!
