The 5th grade class at North made zoo animals built by boxes. Students designed and created the animal, then found the volume of the boxes used to create it. They call this a "volume zoo." Very creative! All of our students enjoy seeing these in the hallways!

North 5th grade, with the assistance of Title teacher Laura Smith, did a variety of higher level thinking STEM activities with items from a mystery bag (m&ms)! Estimation, taste testing to create a bar graph, and seeing which parts of an M&M are water soluble were just a few activities that students enjoyed.
