
The Warsaw South Elementary Art students participated in the Benton County Farmer’s Bureau “Thank a Farmer” Poster and Coloring Contest this Spring. The following Warsaw South Elementary students received 1st Place certificates and medals in their grade:

Mrs. Hargrave’s class at South Elementary enjoyed measuring sandcastles throughout the classroom. Students worked with partners to practice measuring in inches.





Mrs. Henderson and Mrs. Bell’s PreK classes enjoyed a morning at Drake Harbor yesterday, eating lunch outside and finishing the day off with popsicles!





Our water tests at South School have come back clean, so we are allowed to lift our boil advisory at South School. Thank you to our maintenance staff and Eddie Barnes' crew for the quick work!

The South PTO would like to invite parents interested in volunteering to attend the PTO meeting tonight at 6:00 in the South cafeteria.


Our South Elementary School had a water issues over the weekend. We will have temporary repair by tomorrow, 4/25. During this time, South School will be under a boil advisory until further notice. We will have bottles of water for our students and staff at school for drink water.


2nd graders at South Elementary took a trip back in time to the Benton County Museum. Students learned how the culture of the community has changed over the years, and were able to eat lunch at the new park in town!






Congratulations to 4th grade student Brookelynn White and 5th grade student JD Boyer for recently surpassing One million words read as measured by the Reading Counts program. Students are pictured with their teachers Mrs. Murray, Mrs. Porterfield, and Mrs. Bryant. Students received a custom Million Word Club water bottle, ice cream, and other classroom rewards. Great job and way to go!


Congratulations to South Elementary Teacher, Mrs. Melinda Huffman for being named the 107.9 “the Coyote” teacher of the week. Mrs. Huffman and her class were treated to Andy’s pizza. Way to go!

The Warsaw Children’s Chorus would like to invite everyone to their final performance of the school year on Friday, April 21 at 7pm at the United Methodist Church-Warsaw. The church is located on 154 W. Washington Street.


Day one of our preschool and kindergarten screenings at Warsaw South are wrapping up. Here are some photos of some little wildcats signing letters of intent to begin their educational journey here at Warsaw. Our next screening date is Monday, May 8th, if you have a 4 or 5 year old that is not currently enrolled in the Warsaw schools, please call 660-438-5965 to get screened and enrolled for next school year (2023-2024).






Miss Wooden’s Kindergarten class at South Elementary has been starting to learn about the water cycle. On Friday they were able to create their own mini water cycles for visuals. The students got pretty creative with drawings!

Mrs. Hargraves class at South Elementary has been studying and writing poetry the past few weeks. Students were able to write many different kinds of poems and created a class poetry book to share with their friends.
