South Elementary PTO is hosting a Christmas Shop 12/11 - 12/13. Please read on for details.
South Elementary students will have the opportunity to shop for loved ones during school on their designed day:
🎁12/11: Pre-K & 1st Grade
🎁12/12: 2nd & 3rd Grade + Open Shop from 4pm - 8pm
🎁12/13: 4th & 5th Grade
Prices range from $1 - $5, depending on the gift. It's requested to limit your student to $25/each to ensure enough items are available for everyone.

Last night our CSIP team met to discuss our goals, feedback from surveys, celebrate our success, and make changes to our SMART goals and action steps. It was a great night of collaboration! Thank you to the committee members for all of their work! Thank you to everyone that took surveys as well! Info on 5th Grade Field Trip on Fri. 11/22:
If a student wishes to purchase anything from the concessions at the arena, they will need to bring a prepaid debit card. The arena is cashless. However, the circus activities that are sponsored by the circus can be paid for with cash (camel rides, face painting, etc.).
Last week, South Elementary 1st Graders celebrated World Kindness Day with a kindness-focused ELA Unit using the text "Ordinary Mary's Extraordinary Deed."
Students took part in several kindness challenges, including making thank you notes for community helpers, posting kind words of affirmation around the school, sending cards to Mr. Warstadt, writing positive messages on the sidewalk in front of the school, and much more! Students were able to apply their ELA and writing skills to put kindness into action, and learned the value of paying it forward. #WildcatExcellence #WorldKindnessDay
Last week, South Elementary Teacher Mrs. Porterfield got to attend the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. This was a professional learning experience provided by the Sonic Foundation and Warsaw Sonic group.
The Ron Clark Academy (RCA) is a highly acclaimed, nonprofit middle school. The Academy has received both national and international recognition for its success for creating a loving, dynamic learning environment that promotes academic excellence and fosters leadership.
