Today 2nd graders at South Elementary enjoyed making and decorating Christmas cookies today for the holiday season!

This week first graders at South have been reading about gingerbread men. They read multiple gingerbread books, decorated cookies and then the cookies ran away! The students made wanted signs to hang around the school and they also did a STEM activity making traps to catch them. Luckily today the gingerbread men were caught after a scavenger hunt through the school.

Students in Mrs. Alcantara 3rd grade class have been learning about Christmas around the world. Students have studied traditions and customs of other cultures. Today students experienced the culture and festivals of Italy. Students sampled food from Italy and shared stories of Italian holiday customs. Students have been journaling and documenting their travels through world cultures.
